Opening this April 1st, Rogier Bosschaart is curating a new exhibition at Gallery Pexpo Amsterdam, focussing on the creative ‘free-space’ where he has worked for the past three years.
“The conservation of such spaces is of great importance to the cultural landscape of a city. It is about the freedom to learn and the freedom to create without the boundaries our socio-economic system places upon us. By their nature, the positive effect a so called ‘free-space’ has on it’s environment is hard to quantify in a clear economical sense and because of that we are in danger of overlooking their importance and losing them forever to the fast growing industry of property-speculation. This however, will be devastating to our city’s psyche, we will be left with a city without imagination.”
