De Vliegtuin

Digital Infrastructure for a Creative Collective.

Project

A creative collective should be run exactly so... collectively.

While this collective way of working already existed in the physical space — through social interaction and shared projects — it was missing in the digital realm, where most web infrastructure remains top-down.

The new website provides the collective the capacity of self-determination through personal profile pages, news-items and the simplification of the website-update process.

User Dashboard

Each member of the collective has access to a personal Dashboard page, where they can create & update their profiles and add news-stories to keep the public up to date on their projects.

User hierarchy

There are three distinct user types (regular, admin, super-admin), each with their own level of access to changeable features, to enable the collective to effectively self-moderate the entire website.

Easy Image Update

All website images can be quickly updated by all admin & super-admin users. This allows for collective website maintenance and dynamic expression.

Personal profile pages

Profile pages are easily created and updated by members. With the ability to upload up to 20 images, texts and the control over their profile's visibility status, giving them agency over their own outward appearance.
